Empir (Malopolska District of Romulan Empire) is a club of Star Trek fans localized in Cracow (Poland). It exists since April of 2005, in the process of spontaneous self-organization of fans from Cracow. IRW Tiberius is a ship commissioned to defend this district. The former ship sent to this region – USS Layconick – has been lost and written off from Fleet listing a few years ago.

To become an eMPIR member one just has to be a trekkie and attend regularly meetings, held once per week (almost each Sunday at 20.00 o’clock) in club “Re” (Maly Rynek, Cracow, Poland).

Empir’s activities are varied. They encompass (among others):

• organization of Star Trek meetings;
• fandom activities (presentations, conventions organization);
• organization of Star Trek convents – Treksfera 2008;
• sports activities (biking, football);
• special meetings like journey to astronomical observatory;
• Star Trek Horizon creation;
• science-fiction popularization;
• intergration of fans in Cracow ;
• throwing up parties 🙂
